We could not be more thrilled that J. Betski’s moved to the Five Points area a couple of years ago! We’ve always been big fans of this treasured Raleigh gem, and now it’s right in our backyard—specifically in Highpark Village, right by High Park Bar & Grill. If you haven’t already checked out the new location, here’s your excuse… We’re giving away a $50 gift card to J. Betski’s to one lucky winner this month!
What we really love about the new digs is the casual all-are-welcome atmosphere, which sets the vibe for a low-key drinks sesh at the bar, a quick dinner on a weekday, or a fancy night out. The bar is truly a great spot to settle in at and enjoy a housemade cocktail, beer, or glass of wine. Don’t be shy and ask your bartender what they recommend! J. Betski’s also has a patio that’s perfect for the warm spring days approaching. It’s even covered in the event of rain!
Of course, the highlight of this beloved restaurant is its specialty East and Central European fare. J. Betski’s is known especially for its delicious pierogis (choose from classic potato and cheese, mushroom and three cheese, or cheesesteak pierogis), schnitzel, sausage, and other authentic Euro cuisine. Additionally, you’ll find a plethora of inspired dishes—think pork tenderloin, seared diver scallops, cauliflower steak, beet salad, hot beer pretzel, and fried and baked oysters. And don’t sleep on the burger! It’s one of the best in Raleigh—trust us.
J. Betski’s also offers rotating weekly specials, which can feature anything from $10 baked oysters to $19 smoked brisket burger to $2 off local Crank Arm beer. They’ll often include special menu items in the lineup too that aren’t on the permanent menu, so it’s a great opportunity to try something new! Don’t have time to stick around to eat?
