“Silver bells, silver bells. It’s Christmas time in the city.” 🎶 The holiday season is quickly approaching and we love how Raleigh goes all out for this time of year. There are events all around the Triangle but our team has put together a list of five holly jolly happenings that you do not want to miss in November. From charity runs to parades, whether you like to exercise or relax, there is really something for everyone to do in Raleigh. Don’t worry, we did not skip Thanksgiving. There are events for the turkey lovers too! 🦃

Their goal is to provide 500 turkeys to their distribution partners, but they need your help! With your ticket purchase of just $30, you will not only be providing a turkey to someone who may not normally have one for the holiday, but you will also receive one admission ticket to their Turkey Ball on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021, from 6 until 9 p.m.
Downtown Raleigh Tree Lighting: Friday, Nov. 19, 2021
Kick off the holiday season with Downtown Raleigh’s Annual Tree Lighting on ABC 11 Friday, Nov. 19, 2021, from 5:30 until 8 p.m. There will be live music, Santa, a holiday market from Triangle Pop Up, and, of course, the tree lighting ceremony.

Speaking of lights… here is a great list of other light displays happening around town!
Raleigh Turkey Trot & 2021 Trophy Trot 10K: Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021
Raleigh Turkey Trot has become a tradition and we would be remiss not to mention it. The Triangle’s favorite Thanksgiving morning event returns for 2021. Unfortunately, this event has been filled. If you missed your chance and still want to run before you eat on Thanksgiving Day, register for the Trophy Trot 10K. They have individual and family registrations available, as well as a virtual option. Regular registration gets you entry to the race in the beautiful Dix Park, a medal, and a beer at Trophy Brewing on Maywood Ave. after the race. The virtual option secures you a medal and donation to the amazing Healing Transitions.
We hope you have a happy holiday season!
