Raleigh’s Five Points area is a cultural hotspot for some of Raleigh’s most unique coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, breweries, and much more. (Plus, its central location makes it easy to get to downtown Raleigh, Village District, and Crabtree Valley for even more entertainment!) With all that Five Points has to offer, including everything that surrounds it, residents have all they could possibly need at their fingertips. Below are our top five reasons we love calling Five Points our work and personal home!

1. Local Restaurants Galore

Tacos, pizza, and hot dogs are just a sampling of the many delicious food options in Five Points. There’s Lilly’s Pizza, one of Raleigh’s oldest and most popular pizza spots, which offers gourmet vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free pies. NOFO @ the Pig is a quirky cafe offering quintessential Southern food (and a must-try brunch), while Hayes Barton Cafe sells the best chocolate cake you will ever enjoy in the city of Raleigh – just try to prove us otherwise. 😉

2. Shop ‘Til You Drop

Aside from NOFO’s gourmet market and gift shopgreat for shopping for presents!—located above their dining room, Five Points is also home to Form & Function, which sells a variety of gifts, vintage furniture, accessories, and other fabulous finds. It’s the perfect place to browse and shop local when decking out a new home or revamping any room in your home.

3. Beer and Wine, Oh My!

There are six popular breweries located in the Five Points area alone, including Big Boss Brewing Company, Funguys Brewing, and Neuse River Brewing Company. Each brewery offers a variety of beers, from IPAs and pilsners to stouts and ales to sours and everything in between, providing options for almost anyone. Unless, of course, you’re more into wine, in which case a visit to Seaboard Wine is recommended – they offer an extensive collection of wines from around the world along with weekly tastings.

4. Catch A Show

For an immersive movie-watching experience, catch a show at the Rialto Theatre, a Raleigh landmark since 1942. The historic theatre is known for playing both new movies and classic films, making it perfect for a unique date night after dinner and dessert. (Summer 2020 Note: Because of COVID-19, all future showtimes are TBA.)

5. Get Fit With Ease

With all the fitness studios in the Five Points area, there’s no excuse not to work out! No matter what your fitness goals or needs are, there’s certainly a gym for you. barre3 offers classes inspired by ballet barre, yoga, and pilates, while 12th State Crossfit features intense workouts for those really looking to up their workout regimen.
