Meet Raleigh’s First Cidery, East Bower Cider Co.! 🍻

One of our favorite things about Raleigh’s Five Points area is all the incredible local breweries and restaurants it offers. There’s no shortage of spots to grab a bite or a drink! Now adding to the mix is East Bower Cider Co., Raleigh’s first cidery (!), which opened just a couple of months ago—and we’ve already grown to love it!

East Bower was founded by Oliver Koch and Dustin Walker, two pals who met during their time at the University of Georgia and are now veterans of the craft beer world. They first started getting into cider about five years ago and have since been to over 100 cideries and breweries throughout the country.

At East Bower Cider Co., the duo sources local apples from Western North Carolina and the Shenandoah Valley, and most of their ciders are dry and herbal—a refreshing alternative to the typically sweet ciders you find on grocery store shelves. The seven ciders offered on tap include Unfiltered Dry, Queen Bee, Pom Pomme, Giant Step, Root Down, Backyard, and Wild Ride Dry.

And not only are the ciders delicious, but the space is great for hanging out and enjoying a beverage or two. The clean, modern, and bright interior is filled with plants, while the expansive outdoor space features plenty of seating options, fire pits, and heaters, so you can sip cider outside all winter long without getting cold. Bonus: You can also bring your furry friends! So if you haven’t checked out this incredible new concept yet, it should definitely be on your list.
